It is said, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. Every dream and wish can be brought to reality. The very first step is always the most difficult step to take. Taking the first step into a journey comes with a lot of challenges and questions. Am I ready? Can I do this? Do I have the resources it takes to start? What will people say? Such questions sabotage the dreams of many people, making them perform below their potential.
If you have ever taken any exam, you will agree you may never fully prepared until you start writing. It is thesame with life. You will never be fully ready until you start. Take the bold step of faith and start. You will face many difficulties along the journey. Sometimes, you will fail. It is okay to fail but keep pushing. You never completely fail until you stop trying. The trials you face are full of lessons and make you stronger and better for future success. I am a young African girl dreaming of change. I have a conviction we can all work together to make that change happen.
Writing has never been my thing. I always thought writing was for those who were well versed in literature or those who know how to speak eloquently. I thought I would not be understood when I write. I feared making mistakes nonetheless, when I started, the feedback I got was amazing. My mother called and provided help. My friends contributed in editing. I believe in starting. You will be surprised how many people want you to succeed. Always make the ‘crucial’ first step
